A leading environmental recovery company is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join their growing team in Richmond! Day to day responsibilities will include serving as a dispatching and organizing field personnel along with required equipment to complete the job.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee scheduling and daily equipment assignments as necessary based on scope of project and priority
- Utilize resources economically to eliminate the need of outside contracts, evaluate projects and assign teams based on work needed to be performed
- Schedule new work orders as needed, and adjust schedule of jobs in progress on a day to day basis
- Prepare required paperwork as needed based on job assignments
- Communicate with staff out in the field throughout their shift to ensure satisfactory job performance
- Communicate with vendors and contracts as needed
- Offer support and advise to staff out in the field throughout the day
- Provide guidance and support to field employees, (supervisor, foremen, drivers, field
- technicians), by effectively communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Prior experience working in environmental industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented, strong management skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements .
- Intermediate knowledge of environmental equipment
- Ability to work in hazardous conditions
- Valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Willingness to travel overnight if required
