Our client, a commercial metals manufacturer, has an immediate opening for an experienced Operators Supervisor to join their winning team in Hauppauge.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for overseeing an entire range of warehouse activities for three shifts while continually focusing on safety, integrity, quality, production and on-time delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and instill a culture of safety, integrity and engagement.
- Ensure associates work in accordance to safety and quality standards.
- Manage production and workflow processes while reducing waste.
- Provide on-time delivery on all orders.
- Manage a fleet of commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain industrial equipment through preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Inventory management and building/facilities maintenance.
- Perform the duties of all direct reports as needed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College degree a preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution or like industry.
- DOT/FMCSA and experience directly related to the duties of the position strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve and execute.
