Our client, a global manufacturer of consumer goods, is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join their winning team in Charlotte.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with related department team members, vendors, and warehouse for inbound/import shipments.
- Resolve shipment related issues (demurrage, drayage, etc).
- Create factory POs in SAP
- Manage, track, and reconcile inbound report.
- Receive inventory in SAP and work with Warehouses on resolving discrepancies in product receipts.
- Manage the validation of 3PL invoicing. Work to identify areas of cost improvements.
- Optimization and act as the go to person for day–to–day issues and escalations.
- Work collaboratively with all cross functional departments to quickly resolve customer concerns.
- Assist with month end closing, inventory reconciliation and warehouse cycle counts.
- Communication: Provide timely communications to inform internal management on status, changing conditions and activities that might affect business results.
- Working with team leaders, managers, and department heads to learn departmental needs and goals.
- Other assignments as requested by management
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Order Management experience, processing purchase orders, tracking them, etc
- SAP experience – must be recent and intermediate-advanced experience
- Logistics analysis experience
- Strong excel skills – must know how to do pivot tables + v-lookups
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience w commercial invoices.
- Degree in Business Administration
