A leading supplier of building supplies is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team in Yonkers, New York! Your responsibilities will include overseeing smooth operation and performance throughout the second shift. You will work as a cohesive unit with management throughout the company and be able to perform all duties of the warehouse staff if/when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing staff on a daily basis as needed
- Ability to operate an SR Loader and manage a team using this equipment
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately and priority is given when needed to specific work orders
- Communicate any issues to senior management that are found through daily walk-throughs
- Can operate a forklift when needed
- Delegate responsibilities as needed to alleviate workloads in busier departments
- Ensure all orders are shipped as ordered
- Work cohesively with management to identify open issues and remedy immediately
- Deliver daily reports at end of day to upper management
- Build schedule for upcoming shifts as needed
- Make our warehouse a safe working environment at all times
- Interview and evaluate potential hires for warehouse roles
- Participate in the training of new hires
- Ability to handle additional duties as assigned
