Our client, a nationwide recycling manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced Welder, to join their growing team in South Holland.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform efficient and quality MIG welding of various metal thicknesses
  • Fabricate large horizontal baler chassis and subcomponent as well as related machinery
  • Read blueprints & drawings
  • Use Torch and plasma cutter
  • Accurately read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools
  • Perform work with the help of various hand and power tools
  • (drills, grinders, sanders, etc.)
  • Maintain and use equipment in a safe manner
  • Set up and adjust MIG welding and cutting equipment
  • Forklift and over-head crane operation a plus
  • Ability to meet production standards
  • Maintain good attendance record and be able to work overtime as required
  • Maintain good safety record

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to read drawings and fabricate based on drawing design, specifications, and procedures
  • We are looking for welders highly proficient in MIG welding along with the ability to fabricate and assemble large horizontal balers
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • Experienced MIG welder
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to use tape measure, layout out, and set assemblies
  • Possess good communication skills & an ability to adapt to changing situations
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Depending on job classification, may require basic math and/or tape measure reading
  • Depending on job classification, may require ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
