Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial composite materials, has an immediate need for an experienced Moulding Operator, to join their winning team in Ramsey.
Our candidate of choice will ensure the high-quality manufacture of various products, achieving deadlines and preventing non-conformances to avoid impact to due date accomplishment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the manufacturing of all types of products to the required quality whilst adhering to department processes and procedures, always including H&S.
- Display excellent time management skills by maintaining schedule throughout the production of each product and to be able to get ahead of schedule where possible.
- Help the Final Assembly Manager by completing general duties, particularly looking for efficiency gains on the moulding process by optimising moulding cycles, grouping parts wherever possible.
- Liaise with the Final Assembly Manager to gain on-the-job training in all the department manufacturing processes to continually improve skills and efficiency.
- Be fully versed in all aspects of product manufacturing in the department.
- Regularly self-check work to ensure that a high-quality product is produced with no non-conformances.
- Capable of producing an effective prototype product and liaising with the Final Assembly Manager to highlight any possible flaws or changes needed from the drawing or model to improve the product.
- Continually develop skills to enhance the capability of the department.
- Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy.
- Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives.
- You may be required to complete other tasks, as required by the business.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience working in a rotational moulding environment is desirable but not essential
- Relevant professional experience in a manufacturing environment
