Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of glass and metal products, has an immediate need for an experienced Diesel Mechanic, to join their winning team in Cicero.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- “C” Mechanic/ Fleet Mechanic on 3rd Shift.
- Must have general knowledge of the operation principles of diesel engines and associated components.
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to make some essential diagnoses and repair all of the components of tractors, trailers, and dollies.
- Must be proficient in PM services, with an ability to spot and detect pending failures and problems.
- Must be familiar with 12V electrical systems and be able to perform basic repairs to these systems.
- Should be computer literate and have some basic welding knowledge and ability.
- A/C certification and New York State Inspection certification are a plus.
- Must have own tools that are adequate for the tasks to be performed.
