Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of glass and metal products, has an immediate need for an experienced Parts Clerk – Customer Service, to join their winning team in Cicero.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for the inventory and for maintaining an organized and updated tool room. You must be a self-starter, self-driven, and organized and able to collaborate with a cross-functional management team to resolve problems and maintain a proper stocking level in the parts department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels as directed.
  • Utilize computer skills by maintaining and managing the parts system to ensure they are kept up to date.
  • Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner, ensuring all parts are in the appropriate storage location.
  • Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Ensure all shop areas are clean, neat, and organized, and help USW employees oversee to make sure protocols are followed.
  • Assist Shift maintenance with parts location during machine failures and downtime
  • Data Entry and filing of daily paperwork
  • Handles shipping, receiving, and tracking incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Must have and be able to maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License. This role drives a company vehicle frequently and must be able to be cleared in the LENS system.  At any time during employment, your License becomes suspended, invalid, or revoked; termination is possible.
  • Must have experience in implementing and integrating a PM and work order system and must be willing to help maintain the system.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Office 360* Platform, working experience with some type of Web-based ERP system, PM & Work Order Software is also required)
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a toolroom or a high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environment is strongly encouraged.
  • Experience in negotiating with vendors preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills

    Can perform multiple detail-oriented tasks in a stressful, fast-paced working environment with a high level of accuracy

  • Must be able to work with little or no direction
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding a safe work environment.
  • Needs to understand the Maintenance Process/ Terminology, as this position supports them in buying parts and helps them with projects.
  • Some Mechanical ability and Knowledge will be required for this role.
