Our client, a precision metal fabrication shop, has an immediate need for an experienced Shop Foreman, to join their winning team in Columbus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideal candidate would be someone who has fabrication experience and wants to move up and have more responsibilities
- Expected to be actively involved on the machine shop floor and hands-on with helping workers
- 92% of the job will be supervisory oversight, paperwork, and miscellaneous tasks helping out in the shop, yet seeking someone who is comfortable being on the floor
- You will oversee approximately 20-25 employees, prior supervisory experience required
- 5–10 years’ experience required
- Must be able to read prints
- Must be able to use a tape measure accurately
- Must be able to follow written & verbal directions
- Advanced math skills
- Previous MIG, TIG & Stick welding/fabrication experience
- Press brake experience helpful
