Our client, a manufacturer of precision metal products, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Machinist, to join their growing team in Pittsburgh.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for the operation and set up of CNC mills and lathes and water jet cutters. We require a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate / set up of CNC mill and lathe
- Read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Monitor the production process to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and tolerances.
- Knowledge of CNC tools and tool wear.
- Familiarity with Haas mills and Okuma laths.
- G&M code for programming editing.
- Knowledge of fixturing, work & tool holding along with set ups and tear downs.
- Knowledge of Omax water jet cutter.
