Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of precision metal products, has an immediate need for an experienced Manufacturing Electrical Engineer, to join their winning team in Westlake.
Our candidate of choice will develop and implement solutions to our manufacturing-related problems and support our facility by using creative problem solving to continuously improve the manufacturing process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design machinery, tooling and fixtures to support production of our electro-mechanical equipment
- Identify new technology and new methods to improve manufacturing
- Create and maintain production work instructions
- Review new products and designs for manufacturability and economical design
- Collaborate with R&D engineering throughout the design and development process
- Work with production to identify and resolve workmanship issues and improve our manufacturing processes
- Respond rapidly to resolve manufacturing issues affecting production workflow and supply chain
- Assist engineering and quality in resolving vendor quality issues
- Design material handling tools and fixtures to improve ergonomics and efficiency
- Develop, evaluate, and improve Lean Manufacturing methods
- Research and justify capital equipment investments to support manufacturing
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of work experience in electrical and or mechanical device manufacturing
- Strong skills in phase power systems and motor controls
- Understand printed circuit board design
- Proficient in the development process of imbedded software
- Ability to work on and design analog and digital circuits for test and tune electrical fixtures or tools
- Competence to recommend and source components for Manufacturing Engineering Projects such as: relays, timers, switchers, overcurrent protection or controls
