Our client, a global manufacturer of consumer goods, is seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer, to join their winning team in Milpitas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to the first line support of the following application system in North/South America and EU to solve issues and problems and specification of system change/development:
- SAP ERP Module: SD
- EDIs with customers and Logistics service providers
- Webmethods/Webservices/RFC/Idoc etc.
- Responsible for escalation to Corp IT if application system issues and problems cannot be resolved locally, collaborate and interact with Corp IT, stakeholders on business requirement to ensure Corp IT can develop solutions effectively.
- Responsible for system requirement taking in North/South America region, build strong relationship with users to understand their business process, lead workshops to demonstrate SAP best practices and identify business requirements, improvement and optimization.
- Responsible for working with Corp IT to perform IT system implementation, gathering business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of custom programs, testing, co-ordination of transports to production and post go live support
- Responsible for IT project management role for projects initiated by North/South America region, prepare and review project deliverable documents: business process and functional design document, business process procedures, system configuration (IMG) specification, process maps, control matrices, testing scenarios, lead user acceptance tests, data conversion and cut over etc. To ensure meet project objectives and flow.
- Support the successful delivery of an EDI implementation project, be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements for EDI integration between 3rd party systems and SAP, conducting in-depth analysis, modelling processes, mapping data, assessing impacts, prioritizing requests, and collaborating with project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Coordinate with external consultants, business, Corp IT during the project implement, play a role as project manager.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology administration
- More than 7 years in-depth experience in SAP SD, EDI format: X12, Idoc, Webmethods/Rfc
- Excellent system analytical skills
- Experience in work with outsourcing consulting
- Experience in agile methodologies
- Good at elaboration of the functional and technical specifications
- Be able to work as a Team with stakeholder partners
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to analyze issues, identify sources, and provide solutions
- Master degree in in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Knowledge in IT professional skills, such as XML, SQL, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.
- Experience in the IT technical definition with the architecture (systems and infrastructure) and development teams
- Fluent in Chinese (nice to have)
