Our client, a global manufacturer of precision-engineered components is seeking an experienced Brazer, to join their winning team in Mansfield. This is a first shift role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Braze components to assemble metal parts as specified by layout, work order or blueprints, using hand torch
- Brushes flux onto joint of work pieces or dips braze rod into flux to prevent oxidation of metal.
- Guides torch and rod along joint or seam of work pieces to heat to brazing temperature and melt braze alloy to bond work pieces together.
- Examines seam and re-brazes defective joints.
- Cleans joints of work pieces, using wire brush or by cleaning solution.
- Examines product for defects, utilizing knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards, to ensure conformance to product specifications.
- Will observe and adhere to all safety rules and practices. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, hazard-free condition, reporting all defective equipment or hazardous conditions. Perform other related duties as required by management.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience manufacturing experience
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Pay attention to detail
- Maintain a clean & safe environment
