Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney, to join our winning team in Manchester.
Our candidate of choice will manage their own caseload from inception to resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines. You will be handling Professional Liability / Tort and Liability Defense / Workers’ Compensation cases.
This is a hybrid role!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New Hampshire State Bar, are essential prerequisites.
- Bar admission in Maine and/or Vermont, or a sufficient UBE score to waive into one or both jurisdictions, considered a plus.
- You should possess at least four (4) years of prior civil litigation experience and experience in both New Hampshire state and federal courts.
- Experienced trying cases in NH courts; taking/defending depositions; ADR experience; settlement negotiations.
- You should be a self-starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial
- Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position.
