Our client, a global industrial manufacturing company, has an immediate need for an Electrical and Mechanical Assembler to join their winning team in Rockford.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for operating large CNC milling machines and have ability to fine tune speeds and feeds so that required finishes and tolerances are achieved. Parts are up to 80 tons and 30 meters in length
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To install electrical wiring and assemble components according to blueprints and electrical diagrams, and layout diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
- Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units using hand tools, drill press, and other applicable tools.
- Attaches breakers, relays, contactors, bus bars, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor and contactors sets, meters, plugging devices and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws using wrenches, screwdrivers, and nut runners.
- Cut, strip, bend and form wireable conduit pipe and tubing used to connect circuits and sub-assemblies using hacksaw, band saw, pipe cutters, and mechanical hydraulic pipe or cable benders.
- Connect color coded wires, solder connectors and crimp to wire ends using soldering iron and pliers.
- Must be able to read all electrical blue prints, diagrams, etc.
- Must understand all electrical circuits of various slides, heads, carriages, clamping devices, etc.
- Must be able to locate layout errors and make proper adjustments.
- Must be capable of using organizational skills to keep work area neat and clean.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have proper tools, air drill, battery drill, roll around tool box to move from job to job.
- Must be able to read routings and blueprints.
- Proficient in Machine building
- Proficient in Panel wiring (CNC Machines)
