Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial machinery, has an immediate need for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer, to join our winning team in Dallas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new technical ideas from proof-of-concept, to prototype, to production-level beta unit, to finished product.
- Design training material or manuals as it relates to controls.
- Responsible for ongoing testing and code development of new products. Travel to H&C factories to support the manufacturing challenges during initial launch of a new product.
- Support troubleshooting field issues that occur during a product launch. Travel to customer sites and trade shows.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
- 5-10 years of experience programming PLC systems from scratch
- Knowledge of the workings of system controls panels
- Experience in a continuous process environment
- Experience creating method statements and risk assessments.
- Food Industry experience a plus
- Able to travel domestically/internationally 20%.
- Experience using AutoCAD and familiar with reading a drawing.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience with SAP a plus.
- Experience with SCADA or MES system is a plus.
