Our client, a nationwide food manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced Lead Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in King of Prussia.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties, to include: oversight of the maintenance department; creating a positive department culture responsive to operational needs; use systematic approach to maintenance that assures consistent and reliable operation of production and facility equipment; rebuilding of existing equipment; installation of new equipment; troubleshoot component and equipment failures; maintenance coverage on assigned shift and PM/routine maintenance of equipment on down-days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The installation, modification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plc and pc based equipment and facility control systems. Provides guidance and education in control systems to the maintenance staff.
  • Ability to safely work on single and 3-phase power, up to 480VAC.
  • Respond to breakdowns of production equipment to retore operational status ASAP.
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs of production and facility equipment during scheduled and unscheduled downtime periods.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, drawings, and schematics to perform required routine and emergency servicing of production and facility equipment.
  • Maintaining appropriate spare parts in inventory to assure production and facility equipment are maintained for reliable service and emergency repairs. Inventory to be maintained in the departments PC based Maintenance Management System.
  • Periodic review of maintenance parts inventory for adjustments (additions or deletions) to current inventory.
  • Initiates and/or reviews purchase requisitions for maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Assures department PC has the needed software and current licensing required for maintenance of installed control systems.
  • Assuring all routine work, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair records are entered in the departments PC based Maintenance Management System.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Assures compliance with OSHA”s Lock Out / Tag Out policy as well as NFPA/NEC Arc Flash regulations.
  • Maintains effective communications with management and production, equipment manufacturers and supporting functions that provide support, parts, and services to our maintenance efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education
  • 6+ years of production maintenance experience; strong plc control, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical experience and possess solid industrial skills in using hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of Bulk Pneumatic Systems a plus
  • Welding, Tig, Mig or Stick welding and brazing capabilities a plus..
  • Computer literate and experienced in use of MS Office Suite.
