Our client, a nationwide leader in packaging solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Machine Operator, to join their winning team in Greenfield.

Our candidate of choice will work with automation equipment according to SOP and be responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minor adjustments to guarantee Safety, Quality, and Production objectives are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the efficient performance of the automation equipment to achieve production goals in a safe manner.
  • Locate, identify, and resolve any issues stopping production.
  • Proactively investigate needs, evaluate issues, and present/recommend alternatives to increase operational effectiveness.
  • Support existing and future projects during installations, start-up, and long-term operation.
  • Support daily/weekly asset usage
  • Assist in daily/weekly training.
  • Assist with special projects as directed by management.
  • Make recommendations to maintenance staff for repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Daily report of how specific equipment is functioning and what adjustments were made during the shift.
  • Achievement of operational KPIs related to quality, safety, and production.
  • Operational and maintenance downtime
  • Intimate knowledge of all equipment operation

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Education or certifications in industrial electronics, welding, or wash systems are preferred. Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in machine operations and maintenance for high-volume conveying systems, etc.
  • Previous experience with the following: operations of HMI screens and automation
  • Experience in/around: high-volume conveying operations, water systems, large-volume washers.
  • Previous experience with industrial maintenance functions. Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly interpret, analyze, and report issues with machines/facility components.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high-volume requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in handling multiple high-priority projects, in addition to normal responsibilities.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond promptly.
