Machine Operator – Converting Machine

Our client, a global leader in packaged good solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Machine Operator – Converting Machine, to join our winning team in Bristol.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for running different types of converting machines to produce quality packaging in accordance with specific work instructions and applicable safety and quality assurance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate converting machine
- Performs own set-ups
- Makes machine adjustments to maintain a quality product
- Accurately accounts for and documents all production and scrap quantity by recording it on a production report and enter it in computer system.
- Daily, weekly and monthly area housekeeping so it meets AIB standards
- Interpret and understand written information. (orders, SOP’s, Lam. and print roll tickets etc.)
- Enter accurate information into computer and on production forms.
- Keep Machine and surrounding area safe and clean.
- Spot and determine visual defects.
- Safely do all functions (i.e. lifting, cutting, etc.)
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to use a computer (basic computer skills)
- Basic math skills
- Good organizational skills
- Communicate well with others
- Basic reading skills
- Basic writing skills (must be legible)
- Use of minor tools (i.e. Allen wrenches)
- Use of sharp cutting tools
- Process written information (orders, SOP’s, etc.)
- Common sense and planning ahead
