Our client, a nationwide food manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic, to join their winning team in King of Prussia.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment consistent with established safety rules, manufacturers recommendations, bakery PM and lubrication programs. Requires ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including: plc control systems, VFD drive systems, motor controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Possess working knowledge of plc and PC based control systems. Experienced in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of these systems, including the use of associated test equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Perform routine and emergency repairs of production and facility equipment during scheduled and unscheduled downtime periods.
  • Possess the mechanical and electrical skills needed to troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment, and their control systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, drawings. And schematics to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Skilled in using shop and hand tools, meters, welding and plumbing, and machine tools to fabricate, rebuild, strengthen, and maintain various parts and pieces of production and facility equipment.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Lockout tag out process and procedures
  • Maintains work records and preventative maintenance records and computer directed preventative maintenance records as required.
  • Computer literate and experienced in use of MS Office Suite.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with strong PLC experience.
  • Convey Belt and Tracking Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Bulk Pneumatic Systems a plus
  • Welding, Tig, Mig or Stick welding and brazing capabilities a plus.
