Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial industrial products, has an immediate need for an experienced Packaging Operator, to join their winning team in Cleveland.
Our candidate of choice will fill appropriate containers with chemicals to specified, precise measurements and ensure quality and cleanliness of packaging, labels and accurately filling out production paperwork.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Makes sure products are not contaminated by following appropriate change-over and set-up procedures.
- Accurately fill plastic bags, by vibratory following written manufacturing procedures.
- Sets up and accurately uses scales to ensure precise filling.
- Print required information on bags.
- Place completed bags in appropriate tray / boxes / packaging.
- Label cartons per work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout shift.
- Organizes packaging area for efficient packaging and cooperates with other team members in the area.
- Ability to meet production quotas
- Follow all safety rules and wear prescribed personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent or demonstrated practical knowledge and experience.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs. Extensive walking and long periods of standing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
- You will be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
