Our client, a nationwide leader in manufactured corrugated products, has an immediate need for an experienced Quality Manager, to join their winning team in Middletown.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The candidate must be able to be a leader in the their role while developing and implementing Quality Management systems, quality assurance initiatives, ensuring product quality, managing supplier quality, provide training and development while also ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • The candidate will play a vital role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system, including policies, procedures, control plans and inspection processes.  The driving force of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • The candidate will lead quality assurance initiatives by conducting audits, inspection and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • The candidate will ensure product quality by establishing specifications, coordinating inspections, and addressing quality issues with production teams.
  • The candidate will manage supplier quality through audits, assessments and collaboration to maintain the highest quality of incoming materials.
  • The candidate must be able to be an effective manager, and trainer on quality procedures in order to foster a culture of quality awareness, and develop employees’ quality related skills and knowledge.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s, Secondary Degree  in Engineering, Quality Management or related Field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Management, Preferably in the Corrugated Packaging industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards and methodologies
  • Experience with regulatory requirements, such as FDA, United Nations, Hazardous material packaging and SFC and SFI.
  • Familiar with the following bodies for Standardization within the Corrugated Industry TAPPI, IOPP, FECO, AICC and ASQ.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage and oversee a QMS program for one of the Largest and Progressive Corrugated plants in Northern America.
