Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of precision metal and steel products, has an immediate need for an experienced Screw Machine Operator, to join their winning team in Worcester.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Operate a minimum of two multiple-spindle screw machines
- Maintain close dimensional tolerances
- Read blueprints, setup sheets, and specifications
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and optical comparators
- Stop production when parts are out of specification
- Make machine adjustments to bring parts back into tolerance
- Record control-plan inspection data in Microsoft Excel
- Maintain proper machine oil levels and remove/manage chips
- Follow quality, safety, and production procedures
