Our client, a prestigious, nationwide, law firm dedicated to providing legal services to financial institutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney – Foreclosure/Litigation, to join their winning team in California.
Our candidate of choice will work in our firm’s California Foreclosure Trustee Litigation Department and will primarily manage defensive litigation work related to foreclosure trustees. This is a remote role!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage cases from inception to completion
- Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies
- Draft court pleadings, defense of motions
- Handle discovery
- Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person
- Other duties and special projects as needed
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Juris Doctor from accredited law school
- Three to Five years of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law
- Admission to practice law in the state of California. Admission to practice law in the state of Utah preferred but not required.
- Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
- Ability to manage and prioritize your caseload
