Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced Workers Compensation Associate Attorney, to join our winning team in Rhode Island.
Our candidate of choice will be confident in the courtroom, able to think quickly on their feet, and skilled in communication, organization, and time management. You will handle hearings, depositions, and case strategy in a fast-paced insurance defense environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent clients before the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court
- Manage an independent caseload, including hearings, depositions, motions, and negotiations
- Review medical/employment records and develop defense strategies
- Communicate regularly with clients and collaborate with colleagues when needed
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- J.D. and Rhode Island bar admission (in good standing)
- 1–5 years’ experience in workers’ compensation
- Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings independently
- Exceptional time-management abilities and a proven capacity to adjust seamlessly to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional judgment and a commitment to high-quality client service
